A 7 1/2 mo heat cycle

Dawna surprised us today by going into season at 7 1/2 mos since her last season started. Of course she couldn't wait a few days for our already planned trip to Santa Rosa for Thanksgiving. Off to CCI tomorrow for some time at the spa.
Chelan (our COC) will come along for the ride and some extra exercise if the play yard isn't too wet.

So long, until we meet again!!

The F Litter moved on to a new phase of their CCI adventure today. They left our home and arrived at puppy park at the CCI National Campus in Santa Rosa. Tomorrow they will begin to move all around the country, joining their puppy raisers in the great adventure of learning to be CCI dogs. Here's a glimpse at the beginnings of that grand adventure.

Into the car, into our crates!




We yowled (not too much) and then we slept (soundly). And then we got to this new wonderful place!! Out of the car, into the cart (we practiced this already in the garden cart at our first home). Off to puppy park for us!






And then the pups were at puppy park.











And they always love their Mama Dawna...



And after a very busy morning, they curl up for a snooze. The pups love each other, too!

We learned good!

The pups have learned their lessons well. Mama Dawna showed them how to play with the rings. They spent their last night with us showing her how well they learned!



The pups have also been learning how to be in crates. Here's a little taste of some of that experience.

Dawna's F Litter has a portrait! Please remember that all of the names are preliminary until CCI finalizes them prior to sending the pups to puppy raisers. But for now... Drumroll, please....

Let's roll back the film just a bit. Getting a picture of nine puppies takes a bit of doing and a LOT of help. It also takes some time--puppies need to have played hard and tired themselves out before even starting!
